By now you will have heard (and most likely got sick of the mention of) the “selfie” – you may even be as guilty as the rest of us for snapping a few throughout your day/week/holiday/weekend…
But, there’s a new trend and it’s about to get bigger.
In fact, it has been a “thing” for a long time, a trend that you may have been indulging in yourself without even realising you were…
… introducing the “Shoefie”.
It’s exactly as it sounds… it’s a selfie-style shoe photo.
You know, those pics where you show off to your social media followers what shoes you are wearing on your feet today, sharing the ornate floor you are standing on in your Converse or showing off which outfit you have matched with your colourful pumps this rainy/sunny/bright/dull morning.
I’m guilty of this myself, as I sometimes like to show that I’m in a spa putting up my feet (and to make sure my readers know they are my own feet) showing off my trademark tattoo on my left foot to prove it’s my own snap.
In fact, I find this style of photo great fun, I’m a woman naturally and I love fun and colourful shoes, so it’s a great way to see what everyone wears on their feet – I’m one of those and I’m not sorry to admit it – I’m actually
quite relieved amused there’s a new “term” for such geekery.
So, with this in mind, I have an idea and I’d like you to get involved for a moment.
Look down, compose your footwear, take a snap and tag me on Twitter @StirUpMedia using the Hashtag #Shoefie to share your own foot-based selfie today.
Or why not visit my Facebook page and post your snaps there? The collection is growing!
Let’s have some fun with this and my fave pictures will appear below with a credit, so get creative, I can’t wait to see your version of the #Shoefie…. you’ll be as trendy as me before you know it!
Are you ready to create a blog or social media account? I can help you.
Do you perhaps feel like you need some training to get to grips with it yourself?
Look no further – here at StirUpMedia.com I am now offering affordable coaching & workshops to do just that (virtually and in person, so it doesn’t matter where you are located), simply get in touch for more info.
