Last week was so, stupidly inspiring when it came to the creativity & positivity around me. I was lucky enough to be invited onto BBC Radio Cambridgeshire to talk with Nick Conrad (listen here, 1 hour, 16 minutes into the show dated 08/06/2014) over the Sunday newspaper review and I took on a new personal challenge to connect with three new people a day. This has been quite the eye-opener and made me realise just how little we make an effort with everyone around us, showing just how addictive our online personas can be.
Don’t get me wrong, I adore the online life and the work I take on more requests for consultancy & social media support in Cambridge through Stir Up Media, but it’s a genuine thrill to pluck up the courage to talk to a random person over a cup of coffee – you just never know who you are going to meet, why not try it yourself and report back?!
This Wednesday (11th June, 8am-10am) will see the launch of my first re-vamped Cambourne Network event, so if you’re local, come on down and join us for an informal networking meet up over a cuppa at The Belfry Hotel, Cambourne.
I have also been busy creating a new online network for anyone linked to Stir Up Media, clients, friends, freelancers, basically anybody who knows me personally through my business to help them with some friendly networking & support. Check out both of these networks through Stir Up Media and get in touch if you’d like to be a part of something very exciting moving forward..
